May 16, 2019 Note from the Institute Leadership Team These paraphrased words of Martin Luther King Jr. are Our lives begin alive with meaning in the stories we read in today’s Mercy to end the day we Now. We live in a world that keeps silent on many issues when what is needed is for that silence to be broken. We are become silent about invited to reflect on the video clips by Mercy students who are creatively breaking silence on climate issues, violence things that matter. and injustice, locally and globally. We continue to support the Institute Anti-Racism Transformation Team (IARTT) in calling us to dismantle racism, and we delight in the Mercy Volunteer Corps (MVC) members who promote service in Mercy and the Gospel tradition. We are grateful for the voices in our midst who inspire and encourage hope for our suffering world.
