In the novel “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” there is a memorable character
called Christopher John Francis Boone.
Christopher is 15 years old and is the main character in the
book.
He is the main character as he is the narrator explaining his journey to London from Swindon.
Christopher is a memorable character as he has Aspergers Syndrome.
He lives in a quiet street in
Swindon with his father and pet rat, Toby.
Having Aspergers Syndrome makes him very straight
forward and unable to understand simple things, for example hugging and sarcasm, two things which
are used in every-day life.
The story is about Christopher’s neighbours’ dog, Wellington, who is found by Christopher with a
pitch-fork stuck into him.
