Agency Workers Directive finally takes
shape as the Agency Workers Regulations
After many years of debate and consultation,
the Agency Workers Regulations, which will
implement the Agency Workers Directive,
have now been published.
The Regulations
are due to come into force in October 2011,
which is the latest date possible that the UK
would be able to delay their introduction.
This late implementation date was one of the
issues which the REC campaigned for fiercely,
recognising that businesses (recruiters and
their clients alike) would need to have plenty
of time to prepare for the changes which will
be introduced.
