Empleamos “there is” para lo singular y “there are” para lo plural.
Por ejemplo:
There is a baby = Hay un bebé
There are two babies = Hay dos bebés
Estos dos modos poseen una forma contraída; la forma contraída de “there is” es “there’s” y no hay
forma contraída de “there are”.
