This edition of St.
Mike’s at Work finds us in
the middle of the Easter
season.
My favorite season
of the church year.
This
season after Easter Sunday
is known as the Great 50
Days of Easter.
It is a season in the church like
Epiphany and Lent and
Advent and Pentecost.
And it is a season that lasts
for 50 days – only these
days are called the Great
Fifty Days.
What is supposed to happen here is
that we celebrate Easter
for 50 whole days.
We
celebrate the resurrection
of Jesus Christ for 50 days.
How do we celebrate that?
The way to answer
that question is to ask
yourselves, “What did
Easter mean to you?”
What was it like on Easter
Sunday? After you came
through the darkness of
Holy Week, what did
Easter Sunday represent
for you.
Think about that.
