mining companies and hundreds
of suppliers to the red-hot mineral
exploration industry are gathering
in Toronto to help celebrate the
75thanniversaryoftheProspectors
and Developers Association of
Canada, March 4 to 7.
The four-day event kicks off
on Sunday, March 4 at the Metro
Toronto Convention Centre with
the traditional Commodities
and Mineral Outlook, featuring
commentaries by expert panelists
on market conditions for gold,
copper, nickel, zinc, platinum,
aluminum and uranium.
Convention delegates visiting
the Ontario pavilion will have an
opportunity to learn about the
wealth of information available
from the Ontario Geological
Survey and meet with representatives from Northern
Ontario’s mining municipalities,
academic and research
organizations and First Nation
communities.
The annual Ontario reception,
hosted by Mines Minister Rick
Bartolucci, will be held this year
on Monday, March 5, from 6
to 8 pm at the Intercontinental
Hotel, Ballroom B.
