Third state people started to revolt because peasants had passed through droughts and diseases recently. So a political party called the Third State, called for a change in the government, this made several things happen rapidly and France became a constitutional monarchy. JUNE 1889 The Third Estate became the National Assembly and protested in the tennis court of the Estate General Building. JULY 1789 Louis XVI tried to take back all the power by building up ammunition and supplies, but a mob stormed in the Bastille and an ammunition depot.
