Research would include: Last day of occupancy decision for South Point Elementary Integration of South Point students in other buildings (large class sizes throughout District) Split shifts for students Increased transportation costs Purchase of temporary structures Significant boundary adjustments How to accomplish safety upgrades These are just a few of the major issues the Board of Education would need to consider in the event Prop S fails to pass. Many difficult decisions would need to be made. Yet another boiler/flooding incident at South Point Elementary on March 4 is a stark reminder of the need to retire South Point Elementary and relocate students to a new building.
