This month we held a Father's Day billboard giveaway on social media allowing contestants to share why they love their fathers for the chance to feature them on one of our digital billboards. We received an overwhelming amount of responses that touched our hearts and inspired us. However, today, we would like to highlight one in particular. Vietnam veteran Wayne G. Ballard was nominated by his daughter Rose Ballard. Ballard served as a paratrooper in the Army and was a devoted husband and father. Unfortunately, Ballard's life was cut short due to a drunk driver. In 1996, he was walking on Highway 98 when a drunk driver swerved off the road, striking and killing him.
