OUR MUSIC VIDEO INSPIRATIONS- Kendrick Lamar and the little homies. The Little Homies are a two man directing group, Kendrick Lamar (World renowned artist) and Dave Free (Executive at Top Dawg ENT, which is Kendricks label). The two have produced some of the best videos I have ever seen, mainly working on Kendricks new singles, they are looking to branch out. To other artists, he recently won “best video” at the VMAs and I will now go through my favourite videos and shots. Kendrick Lamar- Humble The song that won the VMA is Humble, this is a video masterpiece, it has variety of shots that are impeccable, There isn’t a lot of storyline behind it, however the lipsyncing and shots are perfect. Kendrick Lamar- Element Element has more of a storyline then Humble however it still isn’t classed as “Narrative”, it constantly features lyrics about fighting and murder and talks about how young children from around the Compton area will always grow up to have fights, murder and disrespectful, it
