Speeding up the fight against climate change A year after the implementation of the Paris Agreement, COP23 will be held in Bonn in November 2017 and will be organised by Fiji to define and detail the rules and regulations, which should be finalised by the end of 2018. To this day, the Agreement has been ratified by 160 countries, with the aim of limiting the global temperature rise to 2 degrees Celsius. As for France, the country has set itself a new target: achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 with the launch last July of a "Climate Plan". This Plan rests on two essential elements: ambition and solidarity. It will allow France to speed up its energy transition in a number of sectors, such as mobility, housing renovation and circular economy. It aims for example to eradicate energy precarity in 10 years, end the sale of greenhouse gas emitting cars by 2040, recycle 100% of all plastic by 2025...
