L. of Africa N. 9 - July 2017 MUSLIMS AND CHRISTIANS "TOGETHER WITH MARY" Since 2000, in Lebanon there has been a popular movement of pray- er and fasting in homage to Mary. In 2010, under popular pressure, the 25th of March, feast of the Annunciation, became a public holi- day in Lebanon. Since then, interreligious meetings between Chris- tians and Muslims mark this day to pay tribute to Mary. This idea which originated from Naji Khoury and Mohammad Nokkari of the Islamic-Christian Research Group (GRIC) has spread to several cities in France, Belgium, Canada and elsewhere.
