Internationlizing Universities p.2 Launches of 32 Joint Research Projects with International Universities pp.4,5 Kurds and Kurdistan in the Ottoman Period p.6 1 July 2013, Issue 4 Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani Lays Foundation Stone of the New University Campus n a special ceremony Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, the KRG Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the new Salahaddin University campus. The new campus is located on the Kirkuk road and the construction works start soon. This multi-million dollar project is financed by the KRG and implemented by the winner of a very complex and transparent tendering process, in which 50 international companies competed. After the review process the American Dar-AlHandasa Company was selected to do the design. Members of the University Council and other government officials participated in the ceremoney.
