Positive behaviour – shared expectations Pupils, parents and staff worked to develop a shared vision of “heightened expectations that everyone can be happy and successful in an inclusive school”. It is based on an agreed set of 8 values: Fairness Perseverance Honesty Tolerance Trust Resilience Ambition Participation It is expressed in the form of 3 clear statements: Respect for people - Respect for learning - Respect for community This note sets out some of the main expectations of all learners and of learning: School is a workplace and everyone has a role to ensure we can all; be safe, be successful, get on with our work and with our work/classmates Good work habits once established and need to be built on every day Teachers will set high expectations of all learners and encourage all learners to set high expectations of themselves Lessons will start on time they should not be disrupted by pupils arriving; late, without equipment/work needed or plugged into music/phone Staff
