The Kanawha Valley Village People (KVVP) will host a potluck midday feast to celebrate the autumnal harvest’s bounty on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. at the South Charleston Public Library meeting rooms. Maureen (Bunny) Crockett, a KVVP member, has volunteered to have a short presentation on her recently published cookbook, Top Chefs of West Virginia, and provide sample tastes from one of the recipes (Pretzel dip). Copies of her book will be on sale during the celebration festivities. We’ll all bring lovely goodies for a real midday feast – we hope to see main dishes, side dishes, salads, breads, pies, and more – for the vegan, the gluten-free, as well as the omnivorous (!) please bring something good and reminiscent of your family autumnal feasts in celebration of harvest season!
