Another year whizzed by as the KVVP continues to grow and it was celebrated at the 2016 Annual Meeting by President Sue Westfall with a slide show of events and member happenings. We expanded our community partnerships with West Virginia University’s program offerings in Charleston – part of OLLI (Osher Life Long Learning Institute). Another of our partners, West Virginia State University (WVSU) grants us access to the Hale House without any rental fees which is a significant contribution to our overall budget. A new partnership was negotiated, using a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with our Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley (FIA-GKV), to bring options for volunteer-provided transportation and home assistance to our members, thanks to FIA Director Jennifer Waggener and KVVP negotiator Chris Daugherty.
