Muslim historians say that Berber a king os
Taifa's period, ordered the
construction of the Citadel,
using marbles, columns and
statues of the Roman theater,
to decoration. But there are
studies that don't believe this,
they say that instead of of a
construction work, it
was a restoration of an
ancient place of
Phoenician-Punic
origin.
