The 2009-2010 Regional Board
Greetings,
I have enjoyed every day of my term as your Regional Director, and have been
inspired by your commitment and efforts to better our communities and diversify the
face of medicine.
I am able to reflect on the great strides that we have made this
year.
We have witnessed the birth of our Regional Leadership Institute, and
enhancement of our Region V Conference.
We experienced our Regional MAPS
Conference, with Dr.
Ben Carson, and a record number of participants.
We also
witnessed the initiation of our Future Leadership Project Fellowship, Regional
Committees, Regional Community Service grants, Pre-Medical Scholarship, and many
other programs that have worked to advance our mission.
It is because of these great
steps that I am confident in our continued success.
Though I am no longer your
Regional Director, I aim to maintain my commitment to this Region, and our entire
organization, as I serve as your National President-Elect.
