been interpreted and represented in
different ways, as part of an historical
enquiry.
The overall topic for this unit is the Impact of War
on Britain 1914-1950.
This year the focus for the
B Section assessment is the Impact of WWII on
British Civilians.
Representations are sources of evidence which
try to represent or portray an aspect of the past
in a certain way.
They set out to give an
impression.
They could be the work of historians
or an archaeologist’s report, or they could be a
film, painting, cartoon, novel or museum display.
A private letter, will or a set of census data are
sources, but they are not representations.
