Philosophy of Education

I believe that, through education, a student will receive the skills and intellectual tools necessary to build a
future that is prosperous and successful. As an educator, it is my firm desire to see my students meet their full
potential. I feel that the students should be encouraged to solve problems similar to what they will run into in
the real world. This will instill skills necessary to become problem solvers in their adult life. I feel that in order
for students to achieve these and other goals a safe, supportive and open environment must be established.
This type of environment will help the student to gain confidence as well as fostering positive relationships
within the student base.
I believe that, a teacher’s role is to be a guide, providing a path to information and knowledge. I find that in the
students search for knowledge, if there is the opportunity to find the answers to their own questions, the
moment of discovery is at h
