Letter from a concerned mother: Is My Son an Internet Addict? September 9, 2009 So I just read that there’s a new Internet addiction center in the US. My 15-year-old son and his friends spend hours playing games like World of Warcraft. If I try to limit him on weekdays he will play all weekend. He sometimes plays seven or eight hours a day and I’ve realized that some weekends he stays up all night on the computer. He also spends hours on Facebook and Twitter. He has dropped from the top of his class to the bottom and his father blames the computer. I think that if I can t control him right now, I may lose my son. I honestly don’t know what to do.
