scientific method introduced by the Italian scientist Galileo Galilei in the 17th
century.
1 NARRATOR
Galileo was born in Pisa in 1561. His Father was a musician and his Mother had
noble origins.
He was a good student and studied both in Pisa and in Florence. The teachers were
monks and taught following the Ptolemaic theories that the Earth was at the centre of
the Universe.
SCENE 1 THE UNIVERSITY

PROFESSOR: The brain contains the nervous central system! Look
1st STUDENT: In the Bible it is written it is the heart!
GALILEO: The professor is right.
2nd STUDENT: No he is an heretic, a misbeliever.
3rd STUDENT: Blasphemy! We should call the Inquisition
