Serving the Southwestern Michigan College community for more than 30 years December 1, 2011 The S uthwester Rapid-fire debate — A sign of the times B y KIMBERY ROBISON Student Writer “Ladies and gentleman, please turn your attention to the center of the arena for our next competitor!” These are words that Diana Clark is very familiar with, since she has been showing horses competitively for more than 25 years. Clark, who has worked at Southwestern Michigan College for almost seven years as director of Human Resource, is a woman of varying talents. By day, she is busy with the task of managing employee relations for the college. During her off hours, she is “at home” caring for her two horses. Horses have been one of Clark’s hobbies since her childhood. She has competed in many shows, earning awards worldwide: American Quarter Horse Association World Show, Appaloosa World Show, Morgan Grand Nationals, Arabian Nationals, Quarter Horse Congress and multiple world championships.
