Ten games into the season, Ohio State is exactly where everyone thought it would be, even if the team hasn’t always looked like the defending national champions in the process. The Buckeyes are a perfect 10-0 after a sometimes-sloppy, sometimes-dominant, consistently inconsistent 28-3 win at Illinois on Nov. 14 that kept the Illibuck trophy in their possession for the eighth straight game. They’ve topped every team that has stood in their way, but with the two most difficult games of the regular season still ahead of them, the Buckeyes haven’t had a chance to evaluate themselves against a high-quality opponent.
