Dear Friends,
I believe we are all trying to rethink our budgets and spending plans.
FRA is in that frame of mind.
We
had a phenomenal conference last September! However, due to a lower than expected attendance, we
suffered a significant loss in conference revenue.
This is a first for us in more than the 12 years that I
have served on the board.
I thought it wise to share with members how we have made most recent
financial decisions as we work to be wise stewards.
The FRA board has been working with the budget of the Florida Reading Association’s funds, your
funds.
There have been many changes this year.
To be sure we are able to still provide our membership
with the services that are most essential, I’d like to share what changes have been put into place.
The most notable changes you have seen is the electronic version of The Florida Reading Journal
